Megan Lane has represented Canada at the Olympics, the World Equestrian Games, the Pan Am Games and at countless CDIs. For more than a decade she has been the head trainer at Loretto, Ontario-based Deer Ridge Equestrian, campaigning their string of top quality horses in international events.
But sharp-eyed dressage fans noticed that Megan wasn't a fixture on the dressage show circuit this summer, as she has been in years past. While she continues to ride, teach, train, and give clinics, she's made some significant career changes, including leaving her position at Deer Ridge. Why? It turns out Megan has been quietly pursuing another passion, gaining her pilot's license and pursuing her goal of becoming a commercial pilot. You can read all about these flying changes and her future plans in my latest article for Horse Sport. check it out!
